Security Guard Evaluation

psychological testing FOR Security Officers and Personal Protection Officers

Alliance Psychology, PLLC now offers psychological testing for Texas Level 3 Commissioned Security Officers and Texas Level-4 Personal Protection Officers. As of January 1, 2024, applicants for these licenses are required by Texas law to complete an MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory), which is a psychological test that measures various aspects of psychological functioning, such as depression, psychosis, anxiety, substance use, and conduct problems. The test is also able to detect when someone is not answering truthfully.

Our psychologists also require you to fill out a brief personal history form. After you have completed both the MMPI and the personal history form, we will conduct a brief interview with you. If our psychologists determine that you are not disqualified by reasons delineated by Texas law, they will sign the PSP-13 form required by Texas Department of Public Safety and provide you with that from on the day of your evaluation so that you can return it to your employer. The entire process typically takes between 1-2 hours. In some cases, we may be able to complete the process virtually.

FEES

The fee for this type of assessment is $350. We will ask for your credit card information at the time of scheduling and will charge a no-show fee of $175 if you do not show for your scheduled appointment or do not provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
