Group Therapy
Healing doesn’t happen in a silo
Alliance Psychology provides outpatient group therapy for individuals who are interested in learning more about themselves through an interpersonal experience with professionals and other group members. You will learn the most about yourself when you are open to sharing and receiving feedback about your experiences with others. Groups provide a safe environment for this to occur, and we believe that this results in a transformative experience.
Process groups versus topic-oriented groups
Process Groups
Process groups allow for participants to share their experiences, share, and gain feedback from others, and work through conflict in a safe and supervised setting. The content changes depending on the groups needs and is focused more on the interpersonal processes that take place. Process groups meet weekly for an extended period.
topic-oriented groups
Topic-oriented groups are more focused on specific concepts, such as social skills or trauma, and may be based on a particular therapeutic model. These types of groups also meet regularly with specific objectives to cover.
